Covert hypnosis is sometimes called “conversational hypnosis”. Unlike the kind of hypnosis that people are more familiar with, the kind often stereotyped by making someone gaze at a swinging object while they speak suggestive words to them to put them into a trance, covert hypnosis mainly involves a way of speaking to a person in such a way that you get them to do something you want them to do.
Now, there is no such thing as any kind of hypnosis that can get a person to do anything that is fundamentally against any of their beliefs, and you cannot hypnotize any people into deliberately harming themselves. However, with covert hypnosis, you can influence people to do things like buy a product that you are selling when they initially are resistant to parting with any of their money, or get someone you find attractive to go out dancing with you even though they were planning to go home for the night. By knowing the right things to say in the right way at the right moment, you can put someone under your spell.
But, as simple as it seems (and it’s supposed to seem that way so that you don’t arouse suspicions of people being under the covert hypnosis), covert hypnosis won’t work for you at all if you don’t follow the techniques–and these require sophisticated knowledge and some practice to master.
*It all begins with Attention. If you don’t have your subject’s attention, you can’t do anything to influence them. There are different ways of capturing someone’s attention, but the bottom line is that you have to do that before you can do anything to hypnotize them.
*Next, you need to choose whatever hypnotic techniques that apply to the Context. Everything you say has to fit into the context of the situation and the rest of the conversation, or else you can arouse suspicion or just come off as a bit weird or creepy–which of course is not good for your hypnotic attempts. When hypnotizing conversationally, don’t make sudden shifts in the subject matter, at least not until you have become very experienced and advanced.
*Part of both capturing attention and putting things in context involves establishing a Rapport with the subject. Rapport is what makes you trusted by the subject, and once you have their trust they will automatically become open to suggestion from you–even if they consciously believe that they are still resisting or disagreeing with you.
*On top of all this, you must Calibrate. Calibration means that you are paying attention to every response your subject gives you so that you can appropriately respond and lead them in the desired mental direction. This includes body language and facial expressions. Of course, you have to remain perfectly casual-looking while you do this. You don’t want the subject to feel as if you are studying them like a bug under a magnifying glass.
*Finally, all covert hypnosis techniques requires you to have highly developed Social Skills. Have you ever heard a great salesman in action, watching him close a sale? He is successful because he has mastered superior social skills. A great salesman never seems like he is selling to someone–he focuses, instead, on building a relationship (rapport) with the subject and then uses that to get them to trust what he asks them to do (buy his product or service).
So, there is much to the development of each one of these components. But now you know the foundation of covert hypnosis.
May you want to know more for free, I’d recommend 3 tapes and the e-book you can download from here.
I guess you’ve already heard a lot about The power of conversational hypnosis.
Now you would want to read a good review about it before buying the product to eventually become an expert in all the covert hypnosis techniques taught there.
If this is the case, then you can read our short review of their free product and then download the 3 audio tapes’ course for free here.
As the review of the free product is very short, it will take less time to read it and to gauge clearly if you want to invest additional time in reading a review of the main course; offered by Igor Ledochowski in his The Power of Conversational Hypnosis CD series.
When you are convinced come back to our site, The Magic of the Covert Hypnosis: http://www.themagicofthecoverthypnosis.com and read the following review we found online, at this link:Learn Hypnosis.
Covert hypnosis techniques are based on researches made by Milton Erickson. This world-leading psychiatrist and psychologist believed that the unconscious mind is always listening; whether a person is in a trance or not, and suggestions with hypnotic influence can be made, as long as those suggestions resonate with the unconscious level of the mind.
His ideas have been developed by other researchers.
The most famous school is of course, NLP. The co-founders of this school were Richard Bandler and John Grinder. Together they wrote a book called “Frogs into Princes”, which was quite an eye opener for me.
After having used the NLP techniques from this book for some years, I found an interesting course explicitly dedicated to covert hypnosis techniques.
And here I’m speaking about Igor Ledochowski‘s The Power of Conversational Hypnosis CD series, which seems to be the most advanced tool you can get to quickly become in charge of any practical situation in your life.
The beauty of their offer lies in the fact that you can download their course, covering 3 tapes, for free.
What is inside of this mini-course?
- After you hear the first tape you will be able to hypnotize people who have consciously agreed upon letting themselves be hypnotized by you.
- The second tape teaches you how to use the previously acquired overt hypnosis techniques to conduct covert hypnosis, adding some golden nuggets you require for absolute success in covert hypnosis.
- But don’t miss the third one. It teaches you how to use the overt and the covert hypnosis techniques to fulfill every goal of yours. After you’ve heard the third tape you will feel that you are able to make hypnotic suggestions to yourself; either to become better and more proficient in the overt or covert hypnosis, or to reach any goal or desire you have, including the most important goals and desires in your life. For instance, I tried this third technique on myself, and in 12 days I’ve reached a goal that I was working on for the last 3 years. You can imagine how astonished and excited I was, when something I thought almost impossible just the previous day was accomplished in the nicest and simplest way possible.
If you are new to the covert hypnosis techniques, you can begin right away by reading the e-book attached to the audio course. This way you can check whether you like the content of the tapes before you actually hear them.
I have seen many courses and books on covert hypnosis, you know, stuff like ‘Hypnotize others without them knowing and make them do what you want’. Heheh, who wouldn’t want to be in control of others, but my question is: is it sick to desire such thing?
Firstly, I would like to mention that many people don’t have a clue what is covert hypnosis. It’s not the same as ‘traditional hypnosis’, covert hypnosis has nothing to do with that ‘scary’ (and unreal) scenes of hypnotist making other people do things against their will you may have seen in the movies. It’s about psychological principals we function on. It should be better named ‘Art of communication and persuasion’. And all convincing language is ‘hypnotic’ and makes use of principles of covert hypnosis.
"Many people ask me if it’s not “sick” to desire to control other people with hypnosis, without them knowing. What kind of people would like to learn how to hypnotize others, are they some kind of power hungry freaks, is there something wrong with their personality? Or are they just frustrated, unhappy people seeking this kind of information in the hope to find a way to a better life?
I don’t think so….
Let me tell you something. If you are a normal person, then also YOU have the basic human need of being loved, appreciated and needed by others. Imagine how you would feel if nobody took notice of you, you had nobody to share your joys and sorrows with, nobody there when you needed it most. Sitting at home all on your own, feeling unloved, unneeded. You would get depressed! Maybe you would start to blame or even hate others, or whole the world for your situation feeling sorry for yourself…
And what will be the reaction of others? They’ll run from you as fast as they can! Vicious circle, very difficult to get out of sometimes. Nobody wants to be around depressed and unhappy people.
Now ask yourself, what do YOU do to fulfill your basic need of being desirable, loved and respected? What ways and tactics do YOU use to persuade others about your value? And you use them, that’s for sure, only you may not do it consciously …
Are your techniques of persuasion (whether conscious or unconscious) effective? Are you one of these special people everybody loves and follows? Do you get what you want easily?
If you answered yes, then congratulations, you are already using hypnotic techniques of persuasion naturally, without being aware of it. You have a special gift and you must be a very happy and satisfied person! (but why are you reading this??)
If you answered NO, then your techniques of persuasion are not doing very well… wouldn’t you like to be more convincing and charismatic? Is that a weird desire? Learning ‘how to hypnotize others’ secretly (= indirectly) is about learning how to communicate more effectively with yourself and with others. It’s about understanding how our minds work, what to say, how to say and when to say things, and when to shut up. Knowing which buttons to press to get desired reactions. It’s about improving your relationships with others, getting more satisfaction in your life and being a happier person people feel attracted to. And that’s what we all want, isn’t it?"
Have you ever thought if you could hypnotize people quickly in conversations? Your customers, boss, friends or anybody you want to put under your hypnotic spell? I wonder what you would do with the power of conversational hypnosis…
You may find many covert hypnosis learning courses on the web (hypnosis cds, books, dvds etc.) teaching how to hypnotize people. But it’s been said not many of them are worth learning from…
