Get Hip to Hypnosis: New Book Details Professional’s Techniques to Conquering Range of Problems
Get Hip to Hypnosis: New Book Details Professional’s Techniques to Conquering Range of Problems
Denver, CO and Tarzana, CA (PRWEB) April 10, 2008
In her clinical practice, Dr. Eleanor S. Field has used hypnosis to help hundreds of people overcome everything from traumatic situations to anxiety, fears and phobias to addiction and performance anxiety. Now, this nationally renowned hypnotherapist and psychologist–known simply as Dr. Elly is bringing the power of the mind to the masses with “A Smarty’s Guide to Self-Hypnosis,” the new book from Outskirts Press.
Now available through her Web site at http://www.doctorelly.com, the book condenses 27 years of professional hypnosis experience and training of professionals into one easy-to-understand guide. Perfect for first-timers and long timers, those looking to continue their professional hypnosis sessions at home, and for hypnotherapy clinicians who wish to expand their knowledge and expertise, the book reveals procedures that have proven effective in transforming behavior and improving physical well-being. Included in “A Smarty’s Guide” are specific self-hypnosis strategies for those looking to lose weight, overcome insomnia, stop smoking, manage pain, fight fatigue, post traumatic battle disease, improve sexual performance and much more.
“Hypnosis can be the perfect prescription to promote personal growth and evolution, and it all begins with a belief that you can change,” into “as the mind does perceive, the mind does achieve,” writes Dr. Elly.
The secret is the way in which hypnosis unlocks the root origin of a particular malady, allowing practitioners to work through the issue. For instance, through hypnosis, a weight problem could be traced back to an early–and since forgotten–memory in which food played a comforting role. Dr. Elly’s techniques then help readers move past the resulting behavior (continued overeating) by restructuring their own self-image in the subconscious, imbuing it with positive reinforcement for improved eating and exercise habits. Releasing the feelings involved with the problem of origin is the essence of change. Dr. Elly provides the “Seven Keys” to the origin of problems and teaches you how to use the keys to unlock the doors to your issues.
Written as a beginner’s and advanced guide for the “smarty”–not the “dummy”–Dr. Elly’s program explains how to enter trance states and use the Seven Keys technique to discover a condition’s cause, ways to eliminate the disorder and methods for reinforcing progress. There are even separate sections for using hypnosis with children as well as to reduce stress. Through it all, Dr. Elly offers the kind of accessible insights into hypnosis and healing that has made her famous for putting people back in control of their lives.
“A Smarty’s Guide to Self-Hypnosis” is now available through Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and the online bookstore of Outskirts Press, at outskirtspress.com/store.php. Autographed copies are available directly from Dr. Elly at http://www.smartysguide.com
About the Author: Eleanor S. Field, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist. “A Smarty’s Guide to Self-Hypnosis” brings together a wealth of material from her workshops over the past 27 years. She is also the co-author of “Brain Storms! Out of a Torrential Past; Into a Triumphant Future,” a celebrity screenwriter’s experience in a series of past life regressions. A true story, reading like a novel, this book relates the successful end to 38 years of therapy for his various phobias and physical ailments. Dr. Elly also authored “The Good Girl Syndrome.” This was a Literary Guild selection, a pocket book by Berkeley, and was translated and published in five other languages. Dr. Elly holds the highest certification from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the umbrella organization of physicians and psychologists, and is in private practice in Tarzana, California as the Director of A Center for Change

Can Hypnosis Make You Thin?
Can Hypnosis Make You Thin?
(PRWEB) January 1, 2005
Tired of carrying around an extra twenty pounds? Tired of diets that donÂ?t work?
Hypnosis may be the answer for you Â? no, it doesnÂ?t work miracles. ItÂ?s not a magic bullet that immediately makes you love exercise. What it is – is a deep state of relaxation and intense mental focus that can help you re-program old attitudes and beliefs about eating and maintaining a healthy weight.
Â?While youÂ?re in a state of hypnosis, your subconscious mind is more available to you, more open to receive suggestions that will become a natural part of new behaviorsÂ? explains Krysti Turznik, certified hypnotist.
Â?Suggestions to your subconscious mind bypass the critical mind, which you use day-to-day and go straight to the part of the mind that controls habitsÂ? she added. Â?These allow you to go through with any changes you have decided to make in your life.Â?
Some of the messages seem pretty simple – and they are. ItÂ?s just where they reside that makes the difference. Suggestions such as Â?you eat only in response to your bodyÂ?s natural need for food as fuelÂ? or Â?you feel completely satisfied with three small nutritious meals a dayÂ? or Â?your enjoyment of a regular exercise program grows with each time you visit the gym.Â? Repetition of these suggestions can boost your determination and enhance your conscious willpower.
But, and it is a big but. Hypnosis alone is not enough. It takes a combination of behavioral modification and understanding to achieve a permanent healthy eating pattern. A well trained hypnotist addresses all the issues – because once you realize why you are eating when you are not hungry, you can begin to change that behavior.
Mental imagery is another important part of hypnosis. While in a hypnotic trance, your hypnotist may lead you through an imaginary journey seeing yourself in clothes that you have grown out of. You might imagine the positive comments of friends or co-workers. You might be encouraged to use all five senses to experience yourself growing thinner, stronger, and healthier. Studies show that the more real your inner experience, the more likely the final results will match your mental imagery.
While itÂ?s not magic, hypnosis, when used as part of an overall program of behavioral modification and attitude adjustment, can be that extra dimension your weight loss program needs for long-term success. And a good hypnotist teaches the client self-hypnosis as a part of the treatment program. In the battle of the bulge, it can just be the tool that makes the difference between success and failure.
Â?More and more people are using hypnosis and self-hypnosis to enable themselves to be the best they can be,Â? explains Krysti Turznik. Â?Once youÂ?ve learned self-hypnosis, it can stay with you for the rest of your life and help you achieve any goal you set your mind to.Â?

With More People Facing Obesity, More Professional Hypnotists Are Offering Tools to Help
With More People Facing Obesity, More Professional Hypnotists Are Offering Tools to Help
Merrimack, NH (PRWEB) May 14, 2007
Hypnosis, long practiced as an alternative approach to medical treatment, is today accepted by much of the mainstream medical community as a way to treat stress, manage pain and reduce undesirable habits and behaviors such as overeating or lack of motivation to exercise. This summer, many professional hypnotists will participate in The National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference for the purpose of advancing their skills and gaining new certifications or re-certifications.
Tom Nicoli is one of over 200 speakers who will conduct seminars and workshops at the twentieth annual National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference, on August 10, 11 and 12. Tom Nicoli, a longtime NGH member, is a board certified hypnotist, certified instructor, public speaker and published author. He is perhaps best known as the founder of World Hypnotism Day and as the hypnotist whose weight loss program was used in an NBC Dateline feature, titled The Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge, that followed six people trying to lose weight in preparation for their twenty-fifth high school reunion. All of the six used using different weight loss approaches, ranging from the Atkins diet to marathon training. Marc Merlis, a pastry chef, who used Tom Nicoli’s weight loss hypnosis CD’s and hypnosis weight loss program, successfully lost 40 pounds during the target period. As Nicoli explains, “The problem isn’t what we do, it’s why we do it. Hypnosis is the natural, safe and expedient approach of getting to the why.”
When Harvard Medical School hypnosis instructor Jean Fain critiqued and rated several weight loss programs for Shape Magazine, only National Guild of Hypnotists member Tom Nicoli’s program ranked 5 of 5 stars. Professor Fain described Nicoli’s program by saying, “Tom Nicoli has created a dramatic, affordable and effective weight-loss CD set.”
None of the members of the National Guild of Hypnotists claims that the techniques of hypnosis will enable you to magically lose weight and the NGH cautions people to avoid anyone who makes such unrealistic claims. NGH president Dr. Dwight Damon says, “The National Guild of Hypnotists offers programs to prepare consulting hypnotists to better serve the types of problems people face today. The 280 workshops and seminars offered at this year’s NGH Convention and Educational Conference cover a range of topics related to hypnotism and the medical and counseling professions that use hypnosis in their practice.
The NGH Convention is open to hypnotism professionals and anyone with a sincere interest in learning more about hypnosis or careers in hypnotism and related fields that utilize hypnotism. For more information on the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference, contact the NGH Convention registrar at (603) 429-9438. For NGH Convention hotel reservations, attendees should contact (508) 460-0700. Additional information about hypnotism, careers in hypnotism, the NGH, the NGH Summer Institute or the 2007 NGH Convention is available at http://www.nghconvention.com.
The National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational corporation. Founded in Boston, MA in 1951, the Guild is a professional organization comprised of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. National Guild of Hypnotists president, Dr. Dwight F. Damon, is available for media interviews at (603) 429-9438.

Have You Heard of Underground Hypnosis? Banned Stealth Hypnosis Techniques.
Have You Heard of Underground Hypnosis? Banned Stealth Hypnosis Techniques.
(PRWEB) December 21, 2007
A curious email dropped onto my virtual doormat, forced out from my already overflowing inbox by thousands of Viagra offers. It was from a good friend of mine and had the most interesting subject line I have ever seen,”Have you heard of Underground Hypnosis…Banned Stealth Hypnosis Techniques.” It was for a product that had just been launched. He told me I just had to check this out.
My friend knows of my interest in hypnosis, magic and the works of Derren Brown et al.
But what was particular about this was that it was a full on hypnosis course, not revealing the tired old tricks like getting someone to cluck like a chicken or doing the lambada when they hear Beethoven’s 9th, but using little known techniques, actually what they call “underground” stuff for getting exactly what you want in life, work, relationships you name it.
Needless to say I decided to take the bait and find out what it was all about. With a money back guarantee I had nothing to loose. Even better when I down loaded the whole course while I made a cup of tea.
A quick look over my course materials told me it was going to be a long and very exciting night as I found myself confronted with 7 Cd’s of Audio and 25 Books.
I have to tell you this was like digging for gold and there was plenty of it. The reality was that anyone with a really basic knowledge of communication can hypnotize anyone in minutes.
Have your worst enemy eating out of your hand by applying the sinister “Black Mirror Operation” and the “No Cleaver technique.” This means that you can hypnotize someone during normal conversation, even make them believe that it is fundamentally wrong to disagree with you. And get this, they won’t even realize they have been put in a trance. Combine these two techniques with the “Iron Man Technique” and your life will literally be transformed.
If this stuff isn’t illegal then it damn well should be.
By the way! Don’t think it hadn’t occurred to me how I could use these “Underground” techniques to improve my financial situation. So I was knocked clean out of my boots when I heard about hypnotizing by Email. If only the top marketers knew about this one.
I was suddenly congratulating myself for owning hours and hours of the most sought after information ever to flood the hypnosis underworld.
I’ve seen most every kind of product out there on hypnosis and it’s easy to pass them by, after all they all amount to the same old tricks but differently packaged.
I believe this one is different. The Underground Hypnosis Course definitely gets my vote and I challenge anyone to beat it.
I won’t wait up.
Further information is available from a web site they have at http://www.hbtech.co.uk

The Delusion of Smoking–Some SmokeOut Thoughts
The Delusion of Smoking–Some SmokeOut Thoughts
(PRWEB) October 21, 2001
By Charles Tedesco
Here it comes again, almost like New Year’s Eve
Resolution time: the annual Great American
Smokeout. It’s on November 15 this year—the
American Cancer Society’s regular push to get
smokers to quit for just a day. The theory
behind that is that, if someone can quit for a
day, they can quit for good. While I won’t get
into discussing how realistic I feel that is, I
do have a high degree of compassion for people
who smoke.
I was a smoker myself for 26 years. Now I help
others to quit. It can be a frustrating business.
Most people who smoke would like to quit—about
80% of them, the statistics tell us. Yet most
are like a Don Quixote…..with blinders and
earplugs. They say that they want to quit, yet
most are unwilling to take action that is
consistent with that desire. Yes, they are
blowing smoke.
What I’d like to do here is provide some “food
for thought” for smokers thinking about quitting.
My other purpose in this article is to inspire
those who do not smoke to act a with a little
more compassion towards the smokers you loveÂ?and
those smokers who cross your path as you go about
living your life. It can be mighty tough feeling
like an addict without options
After I quit smoking for the final time, it
occurred to me that it would be rewarding to
share what I had learned with others. That grew
into the obsession with creating a top-notch stop
smoking system, one complete with all the
trimmings: manual, compact discs, and an oral
spray to help people get past the early cravings.
I think I’ve done that. Still, the world has not
beaten a path to my door.
I started with a great idea and a ton of
positive attitude.
As time marched on, though, I found that I was
learning the same lesson over and over: Most
smokers are so entrenched in their addiction and
their sense of powerlessness that they can let
their ego and their self-deception completely
overwhelm their ability to think rationally.
And their willingness to trust themselves to make
even small changes is often nil: “I just can’t do
it.”
That’s their anthem. They’d rather not bother
trying if they’re convinced they’ll fail. No
sense feeling worse about yourself than you
already do.
Like Wile E. Coyote getting run over by the
same bulldozer, falling into the same pit or
having that boulder fall on him again, smokers
repeat the same fruitless actions over and over
Many think that with just a little more will
power or a few more weeks of patches or gum that
they’ll be able to quit for good. That simply
isn’t true.
They tell themselves that if Bob down the
street quit by using hypnosis, they should be
able to do it, too. Wrong again: we all have
varying levels of receptivity to hypnosis. Less
than 5% of those who use hypnosis stay quit for a
year.
The clear winner in the “Smokers’ Biggest Fib”
Contest is this: “I could quit but I don’t want to because I enjoy it.” Have a little
sympathy for anyone stuck enough to share that
one with you. I hear it all the time. The
honest side of that coin is this: “I feel better
when I have my nicotine fix. If I don’t get it,
I am irritable, angry and fearful. And why would
I want to try to quit if I just don’t think I can
do it.” It can be mighty tough feeling like an addict without options.
Let me pass along a few of the hundreds of
situations I’ve encountered in my work as a
Smoking Cessation Coach.
We’re sitting in a booth at Coco’s, Jack and
I. A friend of his had insisted that I call him
a 3rd time to talk about helping him. I usually
draw the line at twice. I learn that this guy has
lots of people who think the world of him and
that he is financially very comfortable. He is
delighting me with the glee he has in telling
stories about wartime cigarette smuggling and his
exploits with younger women. Jack is in his
early seventies, looks healthy and has a twinkle
in his eye. As he starts to talk of his latest
visit to the doctor, that twinkle is replaced
with tears.
“I’ve got emphysema. It’s bad,” he says.
After telling me that he thinks
he is now ready to quit, he starts coming up with
reasons that he is not. The people that he knows
and loves best are smokers. And it is simply
“out of the question” to set any distance from
them, even briefly. And he could never ask them
to not smoke while around him.
“Wouldn’t be respectful,” he says, throwing up
his hands in surrender. “Won’t do it.”
I didn’t want to be brutal in my response, but I did
want to be direct:
“So let me see if I’ve got this
rightÂ?You would rather avoid a little distancing
from these friends, even for just a few weeks,
even if it means that you keep on smoking and die
a rather painful death much sooner?”
It’s true. Emphysema is no day at the beach.
It is a slow suffocation, the lack of ability to
breathe.
“I’m gonna die anyway. I’ve had a full life.
Done a lot of things I could tell stories about.
Let me think about your program. Call me
tomorrow.” He insists on paying for lunch.
When I call the next morning, the conversation
is brief. “Thanks, but I’ll pass. My daughter
might want to make use of your service. I’ll
give her your number. Gotta go.” Click.
************************
Sometimes smokers
snap out of their habit after getting some bad
news from their doctor. But the latest
statistics show us that, of all heart attack
victims told by their doctors that they must
stop smoking, 70% continue to puff away.
One determined to quit, was a client named Anne,
who at 62 had just retired from a very
challenging career as a high school teacher. The
day before she called me for the first time, her
biopsy results had come in. “Cancer, the really
bad kind.”
Her progress through the pre-quit
phase of my stop smoking program was slow because
of the constant pain she was experiencing. She
was determined and optimistic as she prepared to
quit, though she told me soon that it was
excruciating just to turn a page of the stop
smoking manual. Cancer claimed her before we
could even set a quit date.
*********************************************
A few years back, at a Lung Association rally in
San Diego, I met Morton Downey, Jr. You may
recall him as the abrasive radio/TV talk show
host who used to insult his guests as he blew
smoke in their faces. At that time, he was a
staunch defender of smoking.
His parents, he would say, had both smoked and
they lived to be a hundred. He’d live to be a hundred,
too. Two words would suffice to describe him back then:
mean and arrogant.
Here I witnessed a very humbled man in 1998. A
cancerous lung had recently been removed.. Now he
was trying to sway people away from tobacco use. He
went on to be an inspirational anti-smoking activist.
“I feel really bad that I encouraged so many young
people to smoke back then. It’s just so stupid”,
he told me.
Morton Downey, Jr. died earlier this year from the
cancer in his remaining lung.
**********************************************
Last month I set up a Smoking Cessation booth at
a consumer fair at the Palm Springs Convention
Center. It was a booth largely ignored by
smokers. I would notice, with a smile on my
face, when they approached. As soon as many of
them noticed the purpose of my booth, they would
veer sharply away or look in a different
direction.
Most who did stop wanted to share
their stories with me— how they had stopped
smoking. It was inspiring to see the sense of
pride in their faces as they recalled how they
broke free from tobacco’s hold. I let them talk.
I know how good it feels to tell that kind of
story.
One who stopped at the booth was a
widow in her sixties named Emma. She had lost
her husband to “smoking cancer” when he was 43.
He had won a long-time battle with alcohol
shortly before being diagnosed with cancer.
Two days before he died, he quit smoking.
“I am not going to die an addict”, he told her,
straining to raise his voice above a whisper.
A doctor standing nearby overheard his pledge.
“You might as well keep on smoking”, the doctor
told him.
I saw her anger build as Emma relived that moment.
“If I’d had a gun, I would have killed that doctor.”
************************************************
A Marine stops by at the same Palm Springs
show. He is anxious to get off chewing tobacco.
He tells me that, after getting hooked on it
while stationed in Okinawa, he found out that all
the chewing tobacco available to him there was
laced with formaldehyde. Why? Supposedly to
keep it fresher and preserve the nicotine
content. I don’t doubt it.
Cigarette tobacco in our own country is laced with
a variety of added ingredients including ammonia,
patchouli, pine chips, and chocolate. Most
cigarette papers are dipped in a poisonous acid
that keeps the cigarette going once it is lit.
For a complete additives picture on the web, go
to http://www.ash.org.uk/?additives.
*****************************
Brian, a computer whiz in his thirties, had a problem
that I’ve seen more often over the past few years.
Not only did he smoke during off-hours and on
weekends, but he chewed a lot of the nicotine gum
during the work week. At the company he worked
for, it was taboo just to be a smoker, even if
you didn’t smoke during working hours.
“I feel like such a slave to nicotine”, he told me.
Despite their poor record of success at
helping people off nicotine, the gums and patches
and inhalers are selling well. Collectively,
these products are part of the growing trend of
Nicotine Replacement Therapy. (NRT). What we
really don’t know is how many are buying the
stuff to quit smoking and how many are buying it
for part-time use while in social or work
situations.
If you look at all the research,
measure the results after one year, and verify
those results, the best these products can offer
is a 75% failure rate That’s not something that
you would think would excite the public. Yet, it
sells. It amazes me to see people buying the
nicotine gum at $ 48 a pack at the supermarket.
To tell a smoker they’re going to quit with this
stuff is like telling a heroin addict: “Hey,
we’re gonna get you off smack with this “High
Time” Heroin Chewing Gum. It’s in the spiffy
new clear, orange-flavored sticks now. Chew this
heroin to get off heroin.”
“And to give you the same amount of nicotine
that you get in a 15 cent cigarette, we’ll charge
you a buck or two.” And smokers swallow this
stuff because it’s healthier than smoking.
Let’s tell it plain here: No matter how black
your lungs are, do you really want to be a drug
addict?
As an ex-smoker, it pains me to say this, but
folks who buy NRT products are suckers in more
ways than one, just like Brian still is. His gum
habit: $ 65/week. Plus another 15 bucks for
cigarettes.

For the last 5 years, I’ve occasionally run
free, one-night “Quitters’ Quiz” forums at
doctors’ offices in the San Diego and the Palm
Springs areas. The number who actually show up
is always much less than those who reserve seats.
One, a few years ago, was a woman named Betty
who came in a little early with an oxygen bottle
in tow.
“Listen”, she piped right up after
removing the hose from her face, “I am 72 years
old. I like my deserts. I like my Coca-Cola.
And I like my TV stories all afternoon. If this
is some program about making ‘lifestyle changes’,
I wanna know right now, ’cause I’m 72 and I’m not
gonna change and I wouldn’t be interested.”
She went home for Coke and crumpets and more air
from a bottle.

Through all the challenges I’ve experienced as a
Smoking Cessation Coach, there are bright
moments, enough to sustain my enthusiasm for the
work. There have been moments when I’ve been
proud, memories that continue to inspire me.
Like clients around the country who started out
telling me that they were scared about
failingÂ?and continue to call me with thanks on
their “Quitting Anniversaries”.
It feels good. Like a drug.
Sarah, an Indian Wells caregiving grandmother,
had a double incentive to quit when she called me
for the first time. Not only was her bronchitis
getting worse, but her daughter had just laid
down the law: “You cannot hold or babysit your
granddaughter unless you stop smoking.”
The granddaughter is Sarah’s first grandchild.
Before she stopped smoking, Sarah’s voice was
dry, raspy, and difficult to understand
sometimes. In the two months since she’s quit,
Sarah’s voice has cleared. And it warms my heart
to hear her talk about how she loves cradling her
grandkid.
************************
Most smokers who say they want to quit are
looking for something that has 4 specific qualities
in products or services to help them stop smoking.
For them to have an interest, it must quick,
cheap, simple and painless.
They would rather hear about a traveling
hypnosis show at the Holiday Inn for $ 39 than
something new and different that might cost more.
Even if they’e already tried hypnosis several times
before.
For most smokers who say they want to quit,
procrastination is a high art form. “It’ll be so
much easier to quit when I have more love, money,
sex or spare time.”
What charges me up are the ones who choose to
finally get honest with themselves about quitting
and what it is going to take. No, it isn’t easy.
But anyone can do it with a plan, some
determination, some personal support, and a
willingness to make some changes. Most of what
it takes involves how you think and what you do
to react to the challenges of life.
Is it OK with me if you choose to smoke? Sure,
as long as you’re not blowing it in my face.
And if you’re a smoker who has been thinking
about stopping, I’d like to think that this will
smoke a few of you out.

Tedesco’s Top Ten Tips for Stopping Smoking
(1) Pound down the waterÂ?at least 2 quarts every
day to help you deal with stress.
(2) Practice deep breathing. A minute or two
several times daily. Don’t do this while
driving at first; you may get dizzy.
(3) Get up and move around several times daily,
even if its just for a minute. Stretching helps.
(4) Every day, pick 2 things that you don’t
usually do and set them as goals. Write them
down and then check them off when completed.
This helps rebuild your sense of self-trust.
(5) Rather than saying to yourself “I’m going to
stop smoking,” turn it into a positive
statement: “I am determined to breathe freely.”
(6) Instead of saying to yourself: “I am trying
to stop smoking.” say “I am choosing to be free.”
Talking about wanting to stop doing can increase
anxiety. And your brain understands when you say
that you are “trying” that trying is an ongoing
state, that you are continuing to fail.
(7) Reduce or cut out caffeine. Not only is there a psychological connection (that morning coffee and cigarette) but caffeine also binds nicotine to your body, which basically means cravings are tougher and can last longer.
(8) In the first month of freedom from tobacco,
keep alcohol consumption to a drink per day or
less.
(9) During that time, steer clear of parties
where there is smoking.
(10) Remember that exercise burns off stress
much better than hoisting a beer while you watch
TV.

Cincinnati Hypnotist Says ?Quit Trying to Quit Smoking?
Cincinnati Hypnotist Says Â?Quit Trying to Quit SmokingÂ?
(PRWEB) December 20, 2004
January 4th, 2005, marks the first day of its kind when professionals in the field of hypnotism from organizations around the world will be sharing their expertise while promoting the truths and benefits of hypnotism. This is World Hypnotism Day.
Making a healthy change is on everyoneÂ?s mind this time of year. One of the most sought after New YearÂ?s resolution is to quit smoking. Certified Hypnotist William Molitor helps to bring that wish one step closer with his free education seminars at the Tri-State Hypnosis Center and other areas surrounding Greater Cincinnati, January 4 thru 8, 2005.
The intention of these seminars is to educate the public about hypnosis. William says Â?That it is only through education that individuals will be able to make sound decisions about whether or not hypnosis is right for them to use to quit smoking and become a non-smokerÂ?. One popular myth that interferes with these decisions is that hypnosis is mind control. Â?It is important to note that no one can be hypnotized against their willÂ? says William, Â?and no one can be forced to do things while in hypnosis which they do not want to do.Â? Learning some important tools such as positive self talk can greatly increase anyoneÂ?s success rate. With this new information you will discover that you do not use hypnosis to try to quit smoking, you use it to become a non-smoker.
Hypnotism is a safe and powerful intervention for a variety of motivational, self-improvement and goal achieving situations. It is natural and free of side effects, the results are long lasting and often permanent. The American Medical Association approved hypnosis as a viable medical practice in 1958.

Ethical guidelines
The National Guild of Hypnotists has ethical guidelines, which all members must adhere to. The National Guild of Hypnotists holds to the ideal that hypnotism should be practiced in a free and open manner in line with all national and state requirements. NGH Hypnotists are not practicing medical or mental health arts (unless additional credentials are held by the member). Hypnotists do not diagnose disease, but can help in an adjunct to conventional medical or mental health interventions. We have our own unique non-diagnostic language, which we use with clients in order to help them to achieve.
William Molitor a certified master hypnotist, educational and transformational speaker, an area expert on hypnosis, seen on CincinnatiÂ?s FOX19 morning show, recognized by his peers as an expert on 5-PATH hypnotherapy, winner of the 2004, 5-PATH leadership award, and is the director of the Tri-State Hypnosis Center.

Holiday Stress Responsible for Higher Police Calls
Holiday Stress Responsible for Higher Police Calls
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) December 23, 2006
Expert hypnotherapist Debbie Papadakis is sponsoring an event to help people rid themselves of stress.
Over 85% of Canadians admit to having higher levels of stress over the holiday season to be followed by even more stress when the holiday bills start coming in. Sadly, suicides also rise during and after what is supposed to be the happiest time of the year.
“Holidays were never a favorite time of mine” says former police constable Mandie Crawford who spent eight Christmas seasons responding to domestic and stress related calls. She remembers how the added financial pressures and families gathered together for extended periods of time was often a dangerous mix. “As officers, we were called to homes to respond to disputes that just should not have happened – people were just too stressed to react rationally” she explains.
There is relief however for those who learn that they can control that stress. Although diet and exercise play a role – the biggest changes can be made by learning how to change our thinking.
“Stress is something we are never really taught to deal with – and of course until we experience it, we are not concerned about it” says Debbie Papadakis of Hypno Healing Institute Inc in Toronto. Papadakis, an award winning hypnotherapist and expert in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, explains that despite the pressures that we may have and circumstances we may not be able to change, we can change how we think and how we handle stress! This needs to happen before, during and after the holiday season. “Hypnosis is an effective way to help people get rid of stress. Hypnosis actually helps you get control of your life.”
Papadakis is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist and is rated as one of the top 11 hypnotists in the world today by the National Guild of Hypnotists. As reported by Newsweek, Good Housekeeping, Canadian Living and many other publications, hypnosis can be a tool that can change your life for the better.
Armed with this expertise, Papadakis is sponsoring a Stress Clearing Event to promote relaxation in the New Year and educate the public on the growing field of hypnotism. To celebrate the 3rd annual World Hypnotism Day, Papadakis will hold an evening workshop for the public on Thursday January 4th. The workshop running from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm is open to the public – admission is by donation & proceeds will go to charity.
Debbie Papadakis is the Recipient of the 2005 NGH “Hypnotism Achievement” Award. “She has appeared on CFRB 1010AM, CIUT 89.5 FM, Natradio.com, Roaring Women Radio, CHTV’s Body & Health Program, NOW, EYE, Vitality & EXIT magazine, The Omega Source, The Hamilton Examiner, and Eye of the Future and on the cover of the Journal of Hypnotism.
