New Book with Compelling Artwork, Photographs, and Love Letters Delights Lovers, Friends, and Individuals Alike

New Book with Compelling Artwork, Photographs, and Love Letters Delights Lovers, Friends, and Individuals Alike

Klassic Koalas: The Book of Valentines and Other Loves

San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) February 1, 2010

Klassic Koalas: The Book of Valentines and Other Loves is a book like no other, with images that will entrance and delight even as its words remind readers of the eternal nature of love–not just that between lovers or among friends or family members, but also the love we feel for creatures we hold dear and for the wonders of the earth itself.

Artist Querida DiGiovanni has come upon her grandmother’s photo album; its aged parchment pages carry her most treasured memories. Her husband, Querida’s grandfather, at work on a sculpture in his studio; herself, on the beach, by the ocean she loved; photo after photo of sweet and tranquil koalas, many holding their young close in sheltering embraces, with one-word descriptions of traits that are needed for any relationship to survive. Querida, whose very name means “beloved” in Spanish, seizes upon this cache of memories and uses it to house her own: love letters from a distant sweetheart, sketches of people and animals she loves, images from the dreams that inspire her work.

The old album comes to life under Querida’s fingers, as she fills the parchment with her own work: compelling faces observing the observer; lovers defying gravity to escape the bonds of earth; mysterious branches and root systems of trees as powerful and hypnotic as the force of love itself. Author and artist Joanne Ehrich has taken such seemingly disparate elements as treasured old love letters, snapshots of long-departed family and friends, and images of koalas cuddling their babies–romantic love, the love of family and companions, and the love that exists even within nature–and woven them through her magnificent artwork into an enchanting book that will delight lovers, friends, and individuals alike.

Ehrich, an artist, has made the fictitious Querida’s task a joy to behold. She has blended her own artwork with vintage photos and a series of real love letters from the absent and mysterious “RB,” whose correspondence regales his beloved Querida with his comings and goings and the ache in his heart from their separation. The result is a heartfelt tribute to that most mysterious and powerful of feelings that unites us with each other and with our world.

Ehrich’s previous books include the stunning Koalas: Moving Portraits of Serenity and Koalas: Zen in Fur, as well as other Klassic Koalas titles such as the delightful Klassic Koalas: Vegetarian Delights Too Cute to Eat. Her work has also appeared in numerous shows and venues.

Expressions of love are complex. The Book of Valentines and Other Loves captures this complexity in images that aim straight for the heart, but evoke more than just mere sentiment–a perfect gift for anyone you treasure, young or old, at any time of year.

The accompanying free download, The Valentines Code, provides insights into both the book and its author/artist through an interview. Conducted by Chilean-born flautist Viviana Guzmán, who has lent her creativity to a series of questions that elicit from the author deeper thoughts and explanations of the book and her creative process, the interview offers readers the opportunity to gaze with Ehrich into the heart of love–in its broadest aspects.

Insights about the ‘artist’s journey of creation’ are provided in the Soul’s Code article that likens Ehrich to ‘Alice down the rabbit hole, leading us along the path that helped her to reconnect with her true calling through the creation of Klassic Koalas: The Book of Valentines and Other Loves.

About the Author/Illustrator:

Artist Joanne Ehrich’s talent was recognized when she was one of only a hundred artists selected for “SharkByte Art,” a public shark sculpture project on display in the streets of San Jose, California in 2001. The project was commemorated in the coffee table book American Art Parades. Not content to focus solely on artwork, Ehrich directed her talents in a different direction in 2004 when she founded Koala Jo Publishing, which is aimed at helping with wildlife preservation. There she wrote, designed, and published eleven books centered around one of the world’s most beloved animals-the koala. For her first book, Koalas: Moving Portraits of Serenity, she recruited 120 photographers from 24 countries, resulting in a masterpiece that garnered over fifty five-star reviews not just for the stunning visuals and elegant layout, but also for its loving treatment of the iconic koala. The book was named “…the best collection of koala images” by the American Library Association.

This venture into publishing helps wildlife practically as well as artistically; Ehrich has worked with the Australian Wildlife Hospital, a major project of the late Steve Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors, to raise funds for the Hospital through sales of another Koala Jo title, as well as merchandise.

About Viviana Guzmán:

Described by the New York Times as “an imaginative artist,” Chilean-born flutist Viviana Guzmán (http://www.viviana.org) has been featured on programs for PBS, NPR, and NBC. She has performed with such luminaries as Placido Domingo, John Denver, and Glenn Close, and she’s graced the stage of Carnegie Hall five times. Viviana has fans worldwide, such as Kate Winslet (Titanic) who said, “I LOVE your music. It is truly beautiful!” and Isabel Allende, who wrote, “Your music is celestial!”

Los Angeles Band, SOCADIA, Celebrates Their “[trees for the forest]” CD Launch with February 24 Event at Downtown L.A.’s “Bordello”

Los Angeles Band, SOCADIA, Celebrates Their “[trees for the forest]” CD Launch with February 24 Event at Downtown L.A.’s “Bordello”

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 19, 2010

On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Los Angeles-based electronic rock band, Socadia (http://www.socadia.com), will perform at Downtown Los Angeles’ new-kid-on-the-performance-space-block, Bordello, during an evening-long event celebrating the release of their new EP, titled “[trees for the forest]“. Socadia is sharing the stage during the event, with some of Los Angeles’ hottest emerging bands – Echoes de Luxe, Siren’s Eye, FireBug and The Megasoul Connector – creating a sort of one-stop-shop for industry insiders on the prowl.

Socadia (pronounced ‘so-KAY-dee-uh’) is comprised of Austrian-born Stephan Martin (vocals, guitars, synths, programming) and Stockton, California native Dusty Schaller (real drums, programmed drums, synths, editing). Their sound is dark, sexy, electronic rock, with nods to bands like Depeche Mode, She Wants Revenge, and Smashing Pumpkins. The band melds steady, pulsing beats with smooth bass lines, insistent guitars, and layers of synths, led by clear, biting vocals. Their lyrics detail broken relationships; breaking relationships; overcoming; and ultimately, blissfully letting go.

Socadia released their first album, COY, in 2008; the album, which was self-produced, was mixed by Masaki Liu (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club). Following COY’s release, the band enlisted director Andrea Giacomini (Gnarles Barkley, Fatboy Slim) to shoot music videos for the album’s singles “Always Near” and “Land of Peasants.”

“Always Near” won the 2008 SXSW Click video competition, and was a finalist at New York’s HDFest, as well as at Portugal’s ViMus Film Festival, where it sat amongst other finalists such as U2, Blonde Redhead and Green Day. “Land of Peasants” was screened at L.A. FilmFest 2009, alongside videos from Bjork, Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, and more. The album itself, COY, caught the attention of RedBull, and in September of 2008, Socadia was flown to Austria to perform at RedBull Headquarters’ HangART-7.

Socadia spent 2009 recording [trees for the forest], and playing numerous shows in Southern California, including performances at The Knitting Factory, House of Blues, and The Roxy Theatre. The first single from their new album, [trees for the forest], titled “The End of the World”, can currently be heard at: http://www.myspace.com/socadia.

[trees for the forest] is a seven song release of body-moving rhythms and moody, hypnotic melodies. “We recorded and produced everything ourselves,” says Socadia’s frontman, Stephan Martin. “The final product sounds huge, but half the record was done in Dusty’s bedroom.”

The drums were recorded at KingNoise Recorder, the studio owned by Our Lady Peace frontman, Raine Maida. “Raine was so gracious,” says Socadia band member Dusty Schaller, who served as assistant engineer on the latest Our Lady Peace record, “Burn Burn”. “I was looking for a place to track the live drums, and Raine happened to be going out of town for a couple days during the OLP sessions, so he handed me the keys and said ‘knock yourself out’. We spent like 16 hours a day in there, doing the drums, some piano, and playing with his awesome guitar amp collection.”

Socadia brought in longtime friend Matt McJunkins (Puscifer, Ashes Divide) to play bass on some of the [trees for the forest] tracks, and Our Lady Peace guitarist, Steve Mazur, lent a hand on the ballad “Safe and Sound.”

“We’re thrilled to have the support of this extremely talented sector of the Los Angeles music scene”, says Martin, in speaking about the band’s February 24 CD launch event at Bordello, which is being produced in partnership with Soverbia Entertainment (http://www.myspace.com/soverbiaentertainment).

Joining Socadia on February 24 will be indie alternative rockers, Echoes de Luxe, who have the backing and support of one of today’s musical heavy-hitters, Dave Navarro. The band, which is managed by the same firm as Navarro, has had their songs consistently played on Navarro’s L.A.-based radio show, “Dark Matter”, which airs on Indie 103.1. Echoes de Luxe has also performed on-air in the Indie 103.1 studio.

Also in the February 24 lineup, is Los Angeles alterna-indie band Siren’s Eye, fronted by Scott Michael Foster, who can currently be seen starring as “Cappie”, one of the main characters on the ABC Family TV Series “Greek”. Rounding out the February 24 event’s entertainment, are the female-fronted, psychedelic rock band FireBug, as well as rock band, The Megasoul Connector. And as an added bonus for the evening, each person who buys a ticket to see Socadia will receive a free copy of [trees for the forest].

Preceding Socadia’s February 24 CD launch event at Bordello, was their February 17 show at Club Moscow at Boardner’s, during which their video “Land of Peasants” was screened. The February 17 Boardner’s show lineup also included bands Mata Leon, That Noise, and Casio. After Socadia’s February 24 EP release event, they will go on to play a March 14 show at the infamous Sunset Strip live music venue, The Viper Room, also alongside Siren’s Eye, as well as Saturn 5.

Socadia’s music is currently available for download from their web site (http://www.socadia.com), iTunes, as well as other sources. For more information about Socadia, to view upcoming show dates and details, and to listen to samples, please visit: http://www.socadia.com or http://www.myspace.com/socadia.

Requests for further information and booking inquiries can be directed to band member Dusty Schaller, at 209.403.6142.

17 Ways To Help Your Child Succeed At Sports

17 Ways To Help Your Child Succeed At Sports

River Edge, NJ (PRWEB) September 17, 2008

Doctor, author describes simple strategies to help parents, coaches and kids to enjoy sports and to perform to their fullest potential.

Most parents want their children to enjoy sports and to do as well as they can when they participate and when they compete.

“Every day, I get calls from parents who feel their children are not performing up to their potential. The kids are choking, frustrated and lacking in confidence and focus. Parents are very frustrated and so are the children, says Dr. Jay Granat.

According to Jay P. Granat, Ph.D., Psychotherapist, author of many books and programs on sports psychology and founder of http://www.StayInTheZone.com, there are a number of simple steps parents can take to help their kids enjoy sports and do well at sports.

Do what you can to make sure that your child is having a positive experience with his or her coaches and teammates. The wrong coach can turn a child off to a sport or to sports in general. Similarly, conflicts with other kids and peer pressure can make a sport quite unpleasant for a youngster. Parents need to help their children to resolve these interpersonal issues, and in some instances, they need to intervene or intercede on their child’s behalf.

Determine if your child seems better suited for team sports or for individual sports. Some kids love the camaraderie of team sports. Others like to compete on their own. And of course, some kids like both. One of my patients found that she loved tennis much more than softball because she enjoyed being out there on her own. This youngster is now a nationally ranked tennis player, because she has found her niche.

Be aware of burn out. If your child has lost some of his or her enthusiasm and you notice that he or she is performing, your youngster may be suffering from burn out. Talk to them and see if they need a break, a new challenge, a new kind of motivation or a different approach to their sport.

Lots of kids have difficulty managing busy schedules which include games, practice, travel, cross training, fitness training, speed training, family activities and school work. In many instances, the parents and their kids are spread quite thin and are quite overwhelmed due to over scheduling. Help your child and your family find a balance and make sure that they do not have too much on their young plates.

Is your child an elite athlete? Elite athletes often show mature talent and exceptional drive early on. “I counsel many athletes who fall into this category and they usually report loving their sport at an early age. They love practice and they usually can compete successfully with kids who are a few years older than they are,” says the founder of http://www.stayinthezone.com

While there are some children who can excel at several sports, most top athletes who are thinking about Division I colleges, The Olympics and being a professional, focus on one sport today.    If your child is an elite athlete, you will discover that the age of specialization has now crept into sports. For instance, today, top baseball players don’t just get a baseball coach. They get a second base coach, a hitting coach and a pitching coach.

If your child wants to achieve a high level of success at sports, it is essential that the coach, the youngster and you have a good working relationship. I frequently intervene to help everyone to get on the same page. Once everyone is working as a team, the young athlete tends to feel better and perform better.

Expect to have different coaches and trainers during the course of your kid’s athletic career. This is normal. Be open to switching because different coaches teach different things and they call all have a positive impact on your youngster. If you and your child and the coach are in constant friction, something is wrong and it needs to fixed. A change just might be what the child needs to continue to improve and to grow in his or her sport.

Many young and talented athletes are clueless about the mental aspects of their sport. For example, I counseled a very talented tennis player who knew zero about the strategy of the game and less about her own psychological strengths and weaknesses. I was a bit shockedat how weak her mental skills were, since her mother owned and ran a successful tennis facility.

Similarly, I have seen hundreds of very talented young golfers who can hit the ball great on the range but who fall apart on the course.

Likewise, many baseball players with great swings can not hit in game conditions because they think very poorly about the game, the count and about themselves when they step up to the plate.

If you want your child to excel at sports they need to learn to understand the strategy as well as the internal mental aspects of their sport. It is wise to expose your child to mental toughness training early in their sporting careers.

Do whatever you can to teach your child to be relaxed, confident, focused and optimistic on and off the court. Show them how to manage the successes and the setbacks.

Introduce your child to mental toughness training, visualization and self-hypnosis at an early age. Every top athlete uses these techniques. Here is a link for a simple program which many young athletes use: http://www.stayinthezone.com/get_stay.htm

If your child is under age 12, have him or her listen to Bed TimeStories For Young Athletes. http://www.stayinthezone.com/children_sports.htm This program is designed to help young athletes to perform to their fullest potential.

If your child is a baseball player who is great in the cage, but who tends to choke in games, 101 Ways To Break Out Of A Hitting Slump can help to solve his or her problems at the plate. http://www.stayinthezone.com/baseball.htm

If your child plays golf and want a good introduction to the mental aspects of the game, there is a simple CD program to help with the psychological aspects of golf. http://stayinthezone.com/golf.htm

If you have any questions about helping your child with his or her sports, feel free to call Dr. Jay Granat at 888 580-ZONE or e-mail him at info @ stayinthezone.com

Figure Skating Tips: How To Be A Better Figure Skater: The Seven Mental Toughness Habits Of World Champion Figure Skaters Revealed In Seminar, Books and CD Programs

Figure Skating Tips: How To Be A Better Figure Skater: The Seven Mental Toughness Habits Of World Champion Figure Skaters Revealed In Seminar, Books and CD Programs

River Edge, NJ (PRWEB) May 11, 2011

On Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 5:30 p.m., Jay P. Granat, Ph.D., psychotherapist, author, coach of champions and founder of http://www.StayInTheZone.com , will give a 90 minute seminar for figure skaters, parents of figure skaters and coaches of figure skaters at The William G. Mennen Sports Arena in Moorestown, N.J.

Dr. Granat will address many of the key psychological, emotional and mental aspects which challenge skaters who are competing at a high level.

Jackie Palawasta, a former competitive skater raised in Canada, and well known skating coach, invited Dr. Granat to help skaters, parents and coaches to better manage the stressors associated with figure skating competitions and training for top figure skaters.

According to Dr. Granat, who has coached top athletes from every sport around the world and has been featured in many major media outlets, “Figure skaters frequently come to talk to me to better manage the mental part of their sport. Young skaters are sometimes blocked or frightened. Others skate are great in practice, but report choking when the pressure is on. Some are involved in significant conflicts with their parents or coaches. Many have no ability to manage anxiety and they do not know how to ease their minds and their bodies into the zone. When skaters call me, they are stuck in a slump. Their confidence is low and their anxiety is high.”

This ninety minute seminar will outline strategies and techniques on performing one’s best on the ice.

“Figure skaters have lots of pressure. One mistake in a competition can cause them to lose. The judging is often impacted by politics and some of the moves skaters have t make can be scary and dangerous.

In addition, skaters need to be entertainers and performers as well as athletes. They have to connect with the audience and the judges as they execute very difficult routines. Figure skating takes a special kind of mental toughness,” notes Granat.

Young skaters and parents of skaters under age twelve can learn how to be calm, focused and confident by using Dr. Granat’s Bedtime Stories For Young Athletes Program and the free book How To Get Into The Zone In Just One Minute.

To reserve your spot at the seminar, call 973-326-7651. People who can not make the seminar might enjoy Dr. Granat’s CD program, How To Get Into The Zone And Stay In The Zone With Sport Psychology And Self-Hypnosis.

Hockey skaters and speed skaters who are competing at a high level are also encouraged to attend this seminar by Ms. Palawasta. They can benefit from learning how to manage and anxiety and perform their best when the pressure is on.

To reach Dr. Granat for a personal consultation in phone, in person or by Skype or to have him speak at your skating club or rink call 888 580-ZONE or write him at info(at)stayinthezone(dot)com.

Hypno-Gastric Reduction ? a Hypnotic Alternative to Weight Loss Surgery Now Available on CD

Hypno-Gastric Reduction ™ a Hypnotic Alternative to Weight Loss Surgery Now Available on CD

Haverhill, MA (PRWEB) March 2, 2010

Hypno-Gastric Reduction uses clinical hypnosis designed to safely replicate the effects of actual surgical gastric reduction, but without the wide array of potential serious side effects that invasive weight loss surgery can bring. Although this approach initially was introduced in Europe and has become the weight loss phenomenon over there, Hypno-Gastric Reduction™ was refined and enhanced by Board Certified Hypnotherapist, Addie Kania.

In 2008, at the Elite Clinics in Spain, hypnotherapists discovered that if a client’s mind can be convinced a gastric band has indeed been fitted around their stomach, just as if they had undergone gastric band surgery, the weight-loss effect is comparable if not better, with none of the risks or side-effects of surgery. This revolutionary technique captured the attention of Addie Kania. http://AlternativeWeigh.com

As an instructor at the National Guild of Hypnotists Annual Educational Conference, Addie has taught advanced weight loss techniques to professional hypnotherapist from around the world. As regular part of her weight loss program for her private clients, Addie successfully had incorporated hypnotic imagery to suggest that her client’s stomach had “shrunk to the size of a fist.” Her newly developed Hypno-Gastric Reduction ™ is simply a refinement of that technique. This alternative to weight loss surgery works by hypnotically suggesting a smaller stomach and therefore eating smaller portions and feeling full. Through highly effective hypnotic imagery, it is possible to lose weight steadily and easily.

Addie even consulted with a local surgical anesthesiologist to insure the reality of the hypnotic experience. Addie’s comprehensive weight loss program also includes direct suggestions for weight loss, meal portion and quality of diet throughout the hypnotherapy process. Her client is assisted to develop lifestyle change, establish a new and more positive relationship with food and create a healthy body image.

Addie’s specially designed CD is in two parts: Track One is a mini but comprehensive overview for establishing effective weight loss strategies and creating an positive weight loss mindset for Hypno-Gastric Reduction hypnosis. Track Two is the actual Hypno-Gastric Reduction™ hypnotherapy session that Addie uses with her private clients. This CD is in no way meant to replace any advice, medication or treatment plan given or suggested to you by your physician.

This Hypno-Gastric Reduction ™ CD is now available online for $ 24.88 or as an instant MP3 download for $ 15. Visit her Audio Shop at http://DearAddie.com for more information.

CRL Senior Living Communities Commitment to Quality Care Demonstrated in New Clinical Outcomes Report Card

CRL Senior Living Communities Commitment to Quality Care Demonstrated in New Clinical Outcomes Report Card

Neenah, WI (Vocus) March 4, 2010

CRL Senior Living Communities, a leader in innovative senior housing, has released its Clinical Report Card for the second half of 2009, which lists several key clinical accomplishments.

“CRL’s exceptional nutritional and dining programs have minimized weight loss and eliminated dehydration in our communities when compared to others,” said Dr. Paul Hankwitz, chairman of CRL’s Clinical Advisory Board. “Nutrition and our CRL life enhancement activities have contributed to a significantly lower incident of pressure ulcerations when compared to our peers. A number of variables, including CRL’s life enhancement activities, have led to a significantly lower use of anti-anxiety, anti-psychotic and hypnotic medications by CRL residents when compared to other communities.”

CRL, known for its all-encompassing care model based on six stimulation pillars, is pleased to share the following outcomes from July to December 2009 for its residents in both Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCACs) and Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs):

Avoiding Undesired Weight Loss, Maintaining Hydration Through Nutrition Program: CRL’s all-natural nutritional program continues to help residents maintain a healthy weight; weight loss occurs in approximately 3% of CRL CBRF residents relative to 9.5% in competing communities; weight loss occurs in less than 1% of CRL RCAC residents; no cases of dehydration are reported among CRL residents

Limiting Pressure Ulcers: CRL residents’ probability of acquiring a pressure ulcer is 85% less likely than in competing communities

Reducing Falls: Prevalence of resident falls in CRL RCAC communities is approximately 30% lower than in competing communities

Lowering Instances of Incontinence: CRL residents are 50% less likely to be incontinent relative to residents in competing communities

Decreasing Reliance on Medications: Prevalence of CRL RCAC resident utilization of anti-anxiety and hypnotic medications is 40% lower than for residents in competing communities; prevalence of CRL RCAC resident utilization of anti-psychotic medications is 75% lower than for residents in competing communities

Managing Diabetes: Through the CRL comprehensive diabetic program, usage of hypoglycemic medications, as required by sixteen CRL residents with diabetes, declined during the six-month period

“I am proud of the cooperation of all our residents, their families and our staff for the effort that goes into making clinical improvements a reality,” said Penny Pagel, CRL director of clinical services. “Many senior living communities do not collect or share this depth of information. It’s critical for improving care, and I believe the very positive results at CRL speak for themselves.”

Competing data is drawn from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data reported at http://www.medicare.gov for Wisconsin and Illinois, the states in which CRL operates. CRL began collecting its own comprehensive data in 2009, making this its first complete six-month report.

“I continue to be very impressed with the overall quality of care provided to our residents,” said Michael Munter, CRL chief operating officer. “The ability for residents to join the CRL family and to thrive, not just survive, in our communities is a mission that all of us take extremely seriously here at CRL.”

Munter will continue advocating for the establishment of industry-wide quality of care rankings as part of his work on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA). He joined the board in 2009 and has been appointed to an additional two-year term.

A seasoned healthcare executive, Munter has strong general management experience in finance, operations, marketing and business development. Having worked for one of the largest privately owned senior housing companies in the country, he has a passion for providing seniors with the highest level of customer service and quality clinical care. As a representative of CRL Senior Living Communities, Munter will continue providing input and direction into furthering the mission of WALA.

Maximizing Workforce Effectiveness and Unity

Maximizing Workforce Effectiveness and Unity

Paris, France (PRWEB) May 05, 2011

Increasing productivity from executive management teams at international corporations has long been the Holy Grail for Chief Executive Officers. Self-Relations® training has delivered dramatic increases in individual and executive team performance in the corporate suites of Europe and the Americas, and enabled corporate leaders to transfer that increase in productivity to the entire corporation.

The founder of Self-Relations® is Stephen G. Gilligan, Ph.D., an American author, registered psychologist and psychotherapist.

After receiving his doctorate in Psychology from Stanford University, Dr. Gilligan became a leading teacher and practitioner in the field of Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Motivated by his experiences as a therapist, a teacher, and by his own quest, he developed a new practice of radical awakening, which incorporates Ericksonian psychotherapy, Akido, Buddhism, meditation and the performing arts.

“Where Erickson emphasized hypnosis as a form of communication, I took this as a starting point to pioneer a field I called Self-Relations®. This approach takes Erickson’s viewpoint that all symptoms are communication, and considers the common “human condition” as attempting to awake, without skill or guidance,” said Dr. Gilligan.

Dr. Gilligan’s work focuses on the awakening of the soul, using the concept of ‘sponsorship’ (the supporting of change), drawing parallels from other traditions where this is seen as essential to the awakening of the human spirit.

His work reconnects mind-body processes and encourages and supports radical change. The cornerstone of Self-Relations® Psychotherapy is understanding the processes of sponsorship.

“In this context, sponsorship trains team leaders to support the internal change process of the team by allowing and encouraging team members to enter, explore, and test out their feelings, thoughts, and intentions, and feel trusted and safe to do so,” Dr. Gilligan said.

“Another way to put it is to give the team a safe place to innovate and to try new ways of doing things to increase productivity and profit,” said Kathleen Dameron, founder of KD Conseil, a training and coaching firm that specializes in assisting companies seeking to improve the skills & leadership of employees who work in an international environment.

Dr. Gilligan offers 12-day sessions that teach the Self-Relations® method. For more information or to learn more about Dr. Gilligan’s Self-Relations® workshops go to his website at StephenGilligan.com.

For those who have completed the Self-Relations® workshop with Dr. Gilligan and are focused on maintaining and deepening their training, to enrich the techniques to empower their organizations, KD Conseil now provides a supervision in Self-Relations® for professionals.

KD Conseil Self-Relations® Supervision workshop targets people who have completed a 12-day Self-Relations® hypnotherapy program and wish to continue to the practice and develop their skills.

Dr. Stephen Gilligan encouraged KD Conseil’s founder and president Kathleen Dameron to expand his training methodology by launching a supervision program in France to meet the demand for expanded supervised practice in Europe.

“I was honored when Dr. Gilligan asked that I facilitate supervisions as a follow-up to his program,” said Dameron. “I had been involved in his resource group on three separate occasions, and with over 20 years of experience of providing training top level executives, I understood the importance of Dr. Gilligan’s approach in developing a highly productive workforce. However, it wasn’t until Dr. Gilligan told me that he thought I should facilitate a supervision that I explored the possibilities.”

“One of the things I am most passionate about in my work is the bringing together of different cultures,” says Dameron. “So many times individuals feel that they have to choose between a culture that is seen as esoteric or developing and others that are more business oriented. It is really important to have an approach that brings the different perspectives together; one needs to be able to draw on the multiple perspectives that exist in the world to enhance potential and achieve both professional and personal objectives in an international business environment.”

Those interested in attending the Self-Relations® Supervision workshop should contact Kathleen Dameron at KD Conseil at KDConseil.com or send an email to selfrelations(at)orange(dot)fr for more information.
