The NGH Convention is an Educational Conference with a Hypnotic Effect

Merrimack, NH, (PRWEB) April 25, 2007

When the nation’s oldest and largest convention of hypnotists convenes this August, they may put a few attendees to sleep, but it won’t be because the speakers are boring. The National Guild of Hypnotists Convention has more than 10,000 members, in 65 countries around the world. August 10, 11 and 12, they will be meeting in Marlborough, MA. Each year the annual NGH Convention and Educational Conference affords hypnotists, counselors, therapists, coaches, nurses, and many types of health care practitioners, the opportunity to build their skills, earn certifications or re-certifications, and network with others in their field.

The National Guild of Hypnotists Convention offers workshops and seminars that allow even newcomers to explore the field of hypnotism in depth. The three-day convention and educational conference, scheduled for the Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center, will provide attendees the opportunity to enroll in as many of the 280 hypnotism and hypnotism-related courses as they can pack into their schedule. For those who want an even more thorough learning experience, NGH offers their Summer Institute courses, 40 additional classes scheduled during the five days leading up to the convention and the four days following it.

Dr. Dwight Damon, National Guild of Hypnotists president, says, “The NGH Convention offers a cost-effective way for busy professionals to learn new techniques and explore important topics in-depth and at a very reasonable tuition rate. NGH Convention attendees can combine their Summer Institute coursework with selected seminars offered during the NGH Convention, and time efficiently and cost-efficiently gain an incredible amount of knowledge.”

While the attendees will represent many countries, varied hypnosis skill levels, and a diversity of occupations, they will all be united in their goal of using hypnotism as a valuable tool for helping others. Some of the course topics at the Summer Institute include certifications in: stress management; pain management; hypno-oncology; sleep improvement; therapeutic touch; new answers for diabetes; and helping people heal themselves with hypnosis.

NGH convention director, Elsom Eldridge, Jr., says, “This will be our twentieth annual NGH Convention and each year the NGH Convention is bigger and better than the year before with more topics and more types of certification. All of the 280 seminars and workshops offered during the NGH Convention count toward NGH continuing education requirements. This year we are offering a special track for nurses, counselors, and others in the field of mental health, to earn NAADAC, NBCC and CA CNE approved credits.”
