Science and Nonduality Conference Announces Program and Speaker Lineup
Science and Nonduality Conference Announces Program and Speaker Lineup
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2009
The first annual conference on Science and Nonduality to be held in San Rafael October 21-24, 2009 has announced details of its program and speaker lineup. The conference will bring together authorities in Western science and Eastern metaphysics to explore areas of mutual interest and inquiry around the topic of nonduality.
Nonduality comes from the Sanskrit word advaita, the understanding that a single reality underlies everything in the universe. Long believed by Eastern philosophers to be pure consciousness, underlying reality is also a primary goal of Western quantum physicists, cosmologists, philosophers and neuroscientists seeking to unravel the mystery of the conscious mind. Such a synthesis could have profound implications for understanding reality and existence.
Featured presenters will include:
Amit Goswami
Stuart Hameroff
Francis Lucille
Daniel Pinchbeck
Jeff Foster
Marilyn Schlitz
Henry Stapp
Stephen Wolinksy
Fred Alan Wolf
Topics include the quantum basis for reality, Buddhism, the neurological correlates of consciousness and healing, and whether the absolute nondual state only exists prior to the emergence of consciousness or the “I” (the conscious self).
Two days of workshops will precede the conference, including presentations by Peter Russell, Amit Goswami, Fred Alan Wolf, Daniel Pinchbeck, Stuart Hameroff and others.
In addition to formal presentations the conference will feature a nonduality-themed film series, art installations, a section to experience nondual reality through meditation, art, dance, hypnosis, and music, and various social events.
University of Arizona professor Stuart Hameroff says: “Connections between consciousness and reality have taken center stage due to similarities between Eastern spiritual practice and counter-intuitive scientific discoveries that challenge everyday views of the world. This conference will explore these connections.”
The event is organized by Neti Neti Media in association with the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona, the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS), the Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy Conference, and the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology (ITP). It will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Marin Convention Center, San Rafael, California Thursday October 22 through Sunday October 25, 2009. Pre-conference workshops will be held on October 21-22.
The official website http://www.scienceandnonduality.com contains information and program details. Attendees may register online, and discount rates are available for a limited period.
Neti Neti Media, LLC is an association of filmmakers, scientists, and philosophers committed to expanding human potential by bridging modern science and ancient traditions.

Those who are interested in depths beyond somnambulism, take especial note. In addition to the conference being simulcast via the web, a special one-day Ultra Depth® workshop offering is available for interested professionals. It will teach them how to help their clients achieve not just somnambulism but profound somnambulism, the Esdaile State, Catatonic State, the Sichort State and the Zed State. The training will be taught by James R. Ramey, the founder of Ultra Depth® International.
According to Ramey: “It is depth that can bring about long lasting and even permanent results. It is these more profound depths that an individual can also experience such things as painless – bloodless surgeries, rapid healing and much more.” Ramey himself had the opportunity to compare chemical anesthesia with the anesthesia that the Ultra Depth® Process provides during cataract surgery and was completely amazed with the results. “Now I understand what my clients were able to experience and I would choose no other way ever again. The eye that the chemical anesthesia was used took longer to heal and I experienced a lot of discomfort during the surgery. However, the eye that I use the Ultra Depth® Process with, I didn’t even know that the surgery had taken place,” says Ramey, “Now is the time for professionals to learn this technology so they can provide it to their clients.”

Hypnotists Conference Will Be a Time for Building Relationships As Well As Learning
Merrimack, NH (PRWEB) May 2, 2007
When the National Guild of Hypnotists meets in Marlborough, MA this August 10, 11 and 12, many of those in attendance will be earning required credits toward becoming a certified consulting hypnotist. Others at the convention will be seeking advanced certifications to add to their professional credentials. Hypnotism is an accepted and recognized treatment option regularly utilized by many health care workers, counselors and other mental health professionals. Hypnosis provides a valuable tool for enhancing an individual’s ability to deal with pain or stress, or to assist in diminishing undesirable behavior patterns. As the use of hypnotism increases, so does the demand for those who are trained to provide it.
The NGH Convention and Educational Conference will conduct 280 seminars and workshops during their three-day convention event. Combined, the coursework equals more than 400 hours of learning, instruction and interaction time. Each person who attends the NGH Convention uses a Personal Learning Goals Assessment Form to help him or her plan a customized workshop schedule and maximize his experience at the conference. All of the seminars and workshops offered during the NGH Convention and Educational Conference count toward NGH Continuing Education requirements.

People leave the NGH Convention with new professional relationships, new mentors and most importantly, new friends.”

Over 280 workshops in 3 days! Folks are friendly and keen on sharing their knowledge and information. I have been going for ten years, and every year I learn new stuff. The only downside, by Sunday, my head is so full of new information and knowledge I feel like I’m spinning! I wouldn’t miss it for anything! It’s the best deal in any country.”
