For the First Time: PachaMama to Host Path of Love Emotional Healing Retreat in Costa Rica

For the First Time: PachaMama to Host Path of Love Emotional Healing Retreat in Costa Rica

PachaMama, Costa Rica (PRWEB) March 1, 2009

This May, Costa Rican spiritual village PachaMama will for the first time host the Path of Love workshop, a deep and intensive emotional healing process. Offered in different locations all over the world, this will be the first time the Path of Love is held in Costa Rica, making it easily accessible to North American participants, and also allowing for what is probably the most inexpensive price anywhere in the world, detailed in the PachaMama website: http://www.pachamama.com/path-of-love.asp.

The Path of Love is an intensive, highly structured 7 day process in which participants are supported to passionately focus on their sincere desire or longing to realize their full human and spiritual potential. Path of Love has produced life-changing and breakthrough results for thousands of people all over the world. Indeed, many participants often mark their lives by before and after they participated in the Path of Love.

While generally speaking the Path of Love is a spiritually oriented group, it employs different therapy methods and techniques learned and developed over the years, including guided meditations, emotional cathartic work, self-enquiry, writing assignments and sharing with others, to face and burn through layers of identification, beliefs, negativity and emotionally charged defensive positions that keep us separate from directly experiencing our True Nature.

To provide a safe and loving environment for people to do these exercises in absolute confidentiality, Path of Love employs a large staff that is usually around 30 in number for groups of up to 30 participants. All staff members have done the process themselves.

The workshop will be led by two highly experienced facilitators from the international Path of Love organization – Alima Cameron, with 25 years of experience in transformation work, and Satyarthi Peloquin, a disciple of Osho for over 30 years and leader of training programs for 34 years, trained in Trauma Healing, Co Dependency, Postural Integration, Family Constellations, Neo Riechian, Hypnosis, and Miracle of Love work.

Path of Love’s deep and transformative emotional healing work can leave participants in a delicate state, and the time after the workshop can be crucial in helping participants internalize what has been experienced.

Participants in the Path of Love workshop in PachaMama will have the unique opportunity to spend the time after the group and to digest the experience in nurturing, soothing and natural surroundings, with a healthy diet and easy access to meditations and yoga.

Set in the lush forests of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, PachaMama is an oasis of an alternative lifestyle. It’s a place to dive into a transformative spiritual voyage, rejuvenate the body, connect with nature and celebrate life.

PachaMama was founded by travelers who responded to the invitation of Tyohar, it’s leader and founder, to manifest together a commune that embraces a new way of life. Ever since it was founded, the oasis became a gathering place for people from all over the world, creating a colorful and unique energy field. Read more about PachaMama by visiting http://www.pachamama.com.

Tyohar says about PachaMama: “The essence of PachaMama is the space of meditation. If you take meditation out of PachaMama life, if you take the presence of the silence out of PachaMama life, you can have exactly the same events and it won’t be the same. It is that quality of silence, of meditation that gives the extra ingredient that turns the different happenings here into magic. It is a quality that is coming from within us. This is how we fertilize any situation, by keeping the freshness of our being, by taking an inner shower, and then whatever is happening is meeting a fresh presence.”

Hypnotists Conference Will Be a Time for Building Relationships As Well As Learning

Hypnotists Conference Will Be a Time for Building Relationships As Well As Learning

Merrimack, NH (PRWEB) May 2, 2007

When the National Guild of Hypnotists meets in Marlborough, MA this August 10, 11 and 12, many of those in attendance will be earning required credits toward becoming a certified consulting hypnotist. Others at the convention will be seeking advanced certifications to add to their professional credentials. Hypnotism is an accepted and recognized treatment option regularly utilized by many health care workers, counselors and other mental health professionals. Hypnosis provides a valuable tool for enhancing an individual’s ability to deal with pain or stress, or to assist in diminishing undesirable behavior patterns. As the use of hypnotism increases, so does the demand for those who are trained to provide it.

The NGH Convention and Educational Conference will conduct 280 seminars and workshops during their three-day convention event. Combined, the coursework equals more than 400 hours of learning, instruction and interaction time. Each person who attends the NGH Convention uses a Personal Learning Goals Assessment Form to help him or her plan a customized workshop schedule and maximize his experience at the conference. All of the seminars and workshops offered during the NGH Convention and Educational Conference count toward NGH Continuing Education requirements.

This year, the National Guild of Hypnotists, in conjunction with PeachTree Professional Education, Inc., has added a special track for awarding Continuing Education Credit (CE/CNE) to counselors, nurses and workers in certain mental health fields. PeachTree, one of the nation’s oldest and largest providers of Continuing Education credits for professionals in the field of mental health, will provide NAADAC, NBCC and CA CNE approved credits for select NGH courses. The NGH Convention is open to the public for individuals with a sincere interest in learning more about hypnosis and career opportunities as a certified consulting hypnotist in the many professions that utilize the techniques of hypnotism.

Dr. Dwight Damon, President of the National Guild of Hypnotists, explains, “Even though the NGH Convention is a time for intensive study and skill development, we like to remind people that the event is frequently described as, ‘the world’s largest and friendliest professional hypnotism conference.’ The three days NGH spends in Marlborough, MA, are an incredible time for networking. People leave the NGH Convention with new professional relationships, new mentors and most importantly, new friends.”

Georgina Cannon, a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Ontario, Canada says this of the NGH Convention, “Every class I teach, I talk about this amazing convention. Over 280 workshops in 3 days! Folks are friendly and keen on sharing their knowledge and information. I have been going for ten years, and every year I learn new stuff. The only downside, by Sunday, my head is so full of new information and knowledge I feel like I’m spinning! I wouldn’t miss it for anything! It’s the best deal in any country.”

To learn more about the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference, contact the NGH Convention registrar at (603) 429-9438. For NGH Convention hotel reservations, attendees should contact (508) 460-0700. Further information about the NGH, hypnotism, careers in hypnotism, the NGH Summer Institute or the 2007 NGH Convention is also available on the NGH blog at http://www.nghconvention.com.

The National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational corporation. Founded in Boston, MA in 1951, the Guild is a professional organization comprised of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. National Guild of Hypnotists president, Dr. Dwight F. Damon, is available for media interviews at (603) 429-9438.

Veterans with PTSD Update: It’s Time For Real Simple Solutions To Help Support Veteran Families Coping with PTSD

Veterans with PTSD Update: It’s Time For Real Simple Solutions To Help Support Veteran Families Coping with PTSD

Punta Gorda, FL (PRWEB) February 11, 2009

You needn’t look far for information on PTSD. The question Lori Olson of Update Small Business asks is this: are you really getting the full story? And if the mainstream media provides any clues, the answer is no. The average person may hear about the PTSD problem on the news but then it simply goes away; while it is shattering the lives of millions of people on a daily basis.

“I believe that Veteran Families are our unsung heroes” says Lori Olson, founder of Update Small Business. She is passionate about encouraging all citizens to pay respect to our veterans and their families by taking an extra step to be a good neighbor, “It’s time we recognized that we all have a part to play in supporting these heroes”.

In order to support Veterans and their families, Update Small Business has rendered their hypnosis CDs into a self help podcast that uses guided imagery and metaphors to support veteran families let go of grief, loss, guilt and anger. It follows the conversational hypnosis model of the legendary Dr. Milton Erickson and is now available as a free podcast on http://updatesmallbusiness.com

The CD version was distributed to mental health professionals around the country and has gotten thumbs up reviews. The hypnotic conversation that you will hear is designed to speak to the subconscious mind, so there is nothing to do but get comfortable, close your eyes and listen. The more you listen, the more you will benefit.

Why is this needed?

The sad news is that at least 35% of our returning combat troops and their families will have to cope with PTSD. “Are we going to let them handle it alone?” Olson asks.

Studies have shown that families who are more successful in achieving balance are better able to help mitigate the PTSD symptoms for the veteran. Caregivers who achieve balance are less likely to experience the debilitating symptoms of secondary PTSD.

Research shows that PTSD has negative effects on intimate as well as other family relationships*
Combat veterans experience a high rate of marital instability – much more severe than veterans without PTSD*
Vietnam veterans with PTSD are 3 -6 times as likely to divorce as non-PTSD veterans and are three times as likely to experience multiple divorces*
Partners of patients with PTSD show*:
Lower overall dissatisfaction with the relationship and are quite distressed
More caregiver burden
Poorer psychological adjustment
Veterans diagnosed with PTSD, compared to those without PTSD, are more likely to be violent with partners and children, with rates as high as 63% for some type of physical violence in the past year.***
Partners of Vietnam veterans with PTSD reported markedly reduced satisfaction in their lives and greater demoralization compared to partners of Vietnam veterans not diagnosed with PTSD. ***
These family members end up shouldering a great and lifelong burden as home and institutional caregivers, giving up or severely restricting their own employment, education and social interactions that are taken for granted in the normal course of life. Furthermore, family caregivers often suffer severe financial and personal hardships as a consequence providing care to a severely disabled veteran. Yet, in their absence an even greater burden of direct care would fall on DoD and VA, at significantly higher financial cost to the government and a reduced quality of life for severely wounded war veterans.**
The U.S. government owes its highest obligation to those who are put in harm’s way and become severely disabled as a consequence of that service. As a matter of equity and fairness, immediate family members of severely injured combat veterans should be afforded generous relief, assistance and care for the duration of the lives of veterans injured in military service to our nation. ***

“I received your CD and listened to it. As the mother of an OIF veteran with PTSD AND a Licensed Professional Counselor who uses guided imagery in my therapeutic framework, I was very pleased with it”.

~ Cynde Collins – Clark Founder of Veterans Families United

This podcast also greatly benefits caregivers who are coping with the emotional burdens that accompany caring for a loved one with dementia, Alzheimers disease and other traumas. It is simple and can be highly effective when listened to repeatedly.

Update Small Business invites you to participate in supporting our Veterans by telling Veterans, Veteran family members and caregivers about the free podcast. In addition to this Update Small Business offers significant discounts off their extremely competitive pricing to Veteran business entrepreneurs who need to add SEO, SEM, social media optimization, PPC management, CRM, or web development services to their small business resources..
